President reveals where PM went wrong

President Maithripala Sirisena revealed yesterday (Feb. 01) where he believes former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe went wrong.

Addressing an election rally held in Mahiyanganaya President Sirisena said that he objected to the appointments of Arjuna Mahendran as the Central Bank Governor and Ravi Karunanayake as the Minister of Finance.

He also said the mistake of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was although he told him not to go for an election in writing, he went for it and lost.
