Joan Irene Price Sewickley Joan Irene Price, 76, of Sewickley, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018. She was born January 10, 1942, in Aliquippa, daughter of the late Vincent and Geraldine (Young) Kaylor. Joan was a retired cafeteria employee from the Ambridge Area School District. In her leisure, Joan enjoyed reading James Patterson stand-alone thrillers, non-fiction and romance novels. Her favorite hobby was ceramics along with other crafting. When her daughters were young, she was thrilled to be a Girl Scout leader. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was a woman of faith and member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Baden. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded by her husband, Roy Price, on February 18, 1993, and her brother, Vincent "Chuckie" Kaylor. Joan is survived by three daughters and two sons-inlaw, Jennifer Price, Sewickley; Denise (James) Dyal, Palm Bay, Fla., and Amy (Robert) Lee, West Melbourne, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jacob Snow, Sierra Snow, Alyssa Dyal and Courtney Dyal, and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" (Robert) Shreckengost, Baden, and Wanda Christopher, Baden. Friends will be received on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A brief service will begin at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Tony Schneck officiating. Private interment will follow. If desired, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
