Suddenly, there’s so little inventory in premium luxury areas like Highland Ranch’s BackCountry that a custom home on the market there is a rarity. But the one RE/MAX Professionals agent Jackie Garcia will show you today before the game, 1-to-3 p.m., has something that makes it doubly rare – a 500-square-foot casita with master suite and three-quarter bath that will give Grandma or Grandpa some privacy when they come to stay.
“A casita is so unusual,” says Garcia, adding that it works as nanny suite, too. “If you want one, you’ve got to wait to custom-build it.” Last fall, custom areas like this had some product on the market, new and resale, some over $2 million. Now those have dried up; this home, 10699 Flowerburst Court, at $1.799 million, is the only one available in BackCountry’s custom area, save for a for-sale-by-owner.
Garcia, a BackCountry resident, says the site is one of the best ever released there. The buyer will have huge indoor-outdoor living spaces – a covered veranda-style deck on the main level with a panoramic view of the back ranges across BackCountry’s reflection pond, a plaza off the walkout with a campfire-style firepit, a balcony view from the master suite and a timbered courtyard that joins the entertaining areas to the casita, with another firepit, inground trampoline, and a rippling brook feature.
“It’s a house for entertaining,” Garcia adds, pointing to the traffic flow, as well as a wine room, a finished walkout where a fifth bedroom is shown as a mirrored exercise room and a Viking kitchen with suede granite and separate butler area to keep food prep separate from the party spaces. You’ll see a three-car garage, one bay a carriage entry; plus BackCountry’s 400 acres of open space, with a grotto-styled pool and ‘Sundial House’ with live music and lots of kids’ activities.
Garcia will have treats out; take Broadway south from C-470 into Highlands Ranch, three miles to BackCountry’s gate and provide the address 10699 Flowerburst; then follow BackCountry Drive up a half-mile loop to Flowerburst. Or call 303-257-7788.
