WASHINGTON, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday announced additional members of his delegation to the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, including members of Congress and the military.
The Feb. 9 opening ceremony and other events of the Games will be attended by Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Gen. Vincent Brooks, commander of U.S. Forces Korea, the White House said in a press release.
Former USFK Commander James Thurman; Marc Knapper, charge d'affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul; and Olympic figure skating gold medalist Sarah Hughes will also be part of the delegation.
Vice President Mike Pence was previously announced as the leader of the delegation. He will be joined by his wife, Karen Pence.
