Quess Corp, the billionaire business service provider acquired the business of online career and recruitment firm Monster in India, West Asia and Southeast Asia for $14 million. Moreover, the company also acquired HCL Infosystems Ltd’s after-sales services business for consumer electronics and mobile phones amounting to Rs 300 million which sums upto 70 percent of the national and international brands as customers in the country.
The company remarked that the deal fits in its workforce management solution, which it offers to global and local clients in the region.
Commenting on the acquisition, Ajit Isaac, Chairman of Quess Corp said, "While the Monster acquisition complements Quess's market leading presence in the HR services space by establishing end-to-end offerings across the employee lifecycle management space, the acquisition of Care Business will augment our services capability in the customer lifecycle management space," said Ajit Isaac, Chairman of Quess Corp.
Quess will retain the Monster brand in these regions and gets a database of around 85 million resumes while rebranding HCL Services and look to emerge as a partner for servicing products of large national player.
