5 dead after 2 army helicopters crash in France

MARSEILLE - At least five people were killed after two army helicopters crashed near a lake in southern France, investigators said on Friday (Feb 2).

A rescue operation was under way to find the sixth passenger after the crash about 50km north-west of Saint-Tropez, the circumstances of which were unclear, AFP reported.

According to the BBC, both helicopters were owned by a military flying school called Ealat which trains pilots for the army and other military services.
