Kishore dares opponents to condemn Maoists

Chief whip of BJP in Vidhan Sabha and Chhaterpur MLA Radha Krishna Kishore who inspected the site at Karama Cherayin on Thursday where two days back CPI Maoist cadres had burnt down three road making equipments of a noted contractor Krishna Singh, said, “No political leader of any stature from block to state level who has interest and concern in Chhaterpur has mustered courage to condemn this act of arson of the Maoists who are out not to allow this highly strategic important road to be constructed.”

Kishore said, “My political opponents do not miss a single opportunity to flay me when a motorist meets with accident on roads here in this constituency but my critics are typically silent over this act of Maoists who burnt down two JCB machines and one road cleaner equipment.”

“This road coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 45 crore will never be the property of any man but it will be of all and here the Maoists are throwing the spanner in the development of the area and political leaders are just not finding it proper to ask Maoists not to create hurdle in development,” he added.

Kishore said three more roads are under construction and all these four roads are of vital importance from agro rural economy of the region. These roads will open new vistas for rural commerce he said. DSP Chhaterpur Shambhu Kumar Singh said the Maoists were led by one Rakesh. There were about a dozen Maoists who set afire these heavy road making equipments. Sources said construction work on this road is standstill after this incident despite SP Palamu giving assurances of full protection to the road making personnel.

Kishore said the contractor Singh has promised him to send in there his road making machines engaged at other road sites. Sources said no police camp has been set up at Karma Cherayin.
