AD Police host students, highlight social responsibility goals

ABU DHABI: Brigadier Ibrahim Hassan Al Baloushi, Director of the Air Wing Administration, highlighted the Abu Dhabi Police’s goals to promote social responsibility among students.

He made this statement while receiving students from the Emirates National Schools. The students watched an introductory presentation about the administration’s duties, rescue operations and air ambulance services and viewed its helicopters, equipped with advanced technologies. They were also briefed about the responsibilities of the administration’s medical personnel.

Lt. Colonel Eng. Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Head of the Maintenance Department, spoke about the work of their maintenance team while pilot Hammad Al Katbi briefed them about the procedures taken during road accidents, the required preventive measures, and the necessity of memorising emergency phone numbers.

He also explained the work of the Air Wing operations room and its procedures to track aircraft after receiving an accident report, as well as the role of the Air Wing in conducting rescue missions and its humanitarian duty to transport patients and those injured.

Al Dhaheri accompanied the students to the operations room and briefed them on the steps to be taken after an accident occurs and the necessary preventive procedures to be followed.
