Put a little sunshine in your life by waking up on the 'Sunny Side Up' with Paula-Ann Porter-Jones and Francois St Juste every weekday morning, on RJR 94 FM. What better way to begin the day than with some high energy?

The two are at your service from 5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. With music and cheery chatter, 'Sunny Side Up' is the ideal morning programme to jump-start your day.

'Sunny Side Up' is doing phenomenally, thanks to dedicated efforts to win the audience over. According to St Juste, they are encouraged by the response, as the new format is different from what listeners had grown accustomed to over the years.

"It can be challenging getting people to like you in the shadow of Alan Magnus, 'the Jamaican Morning Man'. We had to figure out how to ensure that our listeners are still engaged without alienating what people are used to," St Juste said.

"There are trademark features that have not been disturbed. However, we have brought in programmes that will be synonymous with us. Among the popular ones are 'Battle Your Parents' at 6:15 a.m. and 'Help Me Understand This One' at 7:30 a.m. We do not want the show to be entirely news-centred, so we have found ways to make it fun," he added.

Decades of experience

The dynamic duo has developed a great relationship, having worked together on sister station Fame 95 FM for a number of years. St Juste has more than 20 years' experience working on morning radio, while Porter-Jones is in her 10th year on RJR 94 FM.

"Francois has been doing it longer than me. The good thing about it is that we know each other very well and that has made it easy from the start," Porter-Jones said.

"When you realise that persons are listening to the programme, it is a special honour. It is fascinating when someone comes in and says they listens to us. Our objective is to please our listeners, and we are thankful that they allow us into their homes and their lives," she added.

Porter-Jones and St Juste began hosting 'Sunny Side Up' on April 10, 2017, following Magnus' retirement from 'The Good Morning Man Show', on March 31 of the same year. Porter-Jones was also Magnus' co-host for nearly 10 years.
