Haryana Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare Minister, O.P. Dhankar on Thursday said that under the Seven Star Rating Scheme, all gram panchayats would be able to apply online up to February 25.
The inter-district committee would review their claim and would give star rating to villages by March 23 and the village which gets seven colours in various categories would be given the status of Rainbow Gram. Presiding over a review meeting of various schemes of the department in Jhajjar, he said the stars would be put up on the department’s website for registered gram panchayats and also outside villages. As many as 36 schemes were reviewed at the meeting and time limit was fixed for their implementation. The time limit for putting up Gram Gaurav Pat in every village has been fixed at June 30, setting up of vyayamshala in every village July 31, and implementation of Seven Star Rating Scheme by
March 23. Dhankar said a new plan of solid and liquid waste management in about 1,200 panchyats was ready.
