Google releases update for its Voice app to optimise it for iPhone X's aspect ratio

The iPhone X came with an aspect ratio that was difficult for app developers to adjust to initially. By now, nearly every major app has modified its UI to adjust with the iPhone X's aspect ratio except for Google's Voice application.

As of 1 February, Google has finally amended its Voice application to utilise the full display of the phone in its new update.

Earlier Google Voice appeared letterboxed on the iPhone X according to a 9to5Google report.

Other things on the update include some other general bug fixes and performance enhancements. The report says that another Google app called Inbox has also not been updated to fully utilise the iPhone X screen.

Google Voice is an app which gives you a free phone number for calling, text messaging and voicemail. It works on smartphones and computers and syncs across your devices so you can use the app while on the go or at home.

In some iPhone X related news, Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed a few more details on the upcoming iPhone models, set to be launched in 2018. Both the second generation iPhone X and the X Plus models will feature 4 GB RAM and the expected larger batteries as well.

Also, another 6.1-inch iPhone model could feature an LCD display as opposed to the OLED units on the more premium new iPhone X and iPhone X Plus models.
