A free online resource for tenants and landlords for private renting in Scotland was recently relaunched following a total reworking of the site.
Having been redeveloped, RentingScottland.org was launched by Shelter Scotland after receiving a funding award of £43,500 from SafeDeposits Scotland Trust.
The new and improved site includes updated animations and graphics to explain the information on the website in a more interactive and visually pleasing way.
It currently exists as an independent platform that promotes the Tenant Information Pack - a checklist tool for landlords and expert guidance for both parties.
Director of Shelter Scotland, Graeme Brown, said “There have been significant changes to private renting laws in recent months – including the new private residential tenancy in December last year – so the relaunch of RentingScotland.org is good timing and provides informative and up-to-date information on tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities.
“Providing impartial, accurate and up-to-date information will help ensure smooth, successful tenancies.”
