Corruption is a morally debased act done with intent to give some advantage inconsistent with official duties and the rights of others. In most cases corruption is a crime.
When a high level politician uses his position to influence the outcome of a lawsuit, that's corruption. When a judge abuses judicial discretion in order to give favor in a lawsuit, that's corruption. When the Judicial Qualifications Commission refuses to investigate complaints of political influence and judicial corruption, the JQC becomes part of the corruption.
Corruption isn't complicated, it is what it is. You don't have to have a law degree to figure it out. The hard part is getting someone to do something ab out it. If lawmakers would close the loopholes that allow judges to cheat and require by legislation the JQC to investigate allegations of political influence and judicial corruption we could be one step closer to draining the swamp.
