Cairo, Jumada I 15, 1439, Feb 1, 2018, SPA -- The Saudi-Egyptian Business Council held here today a meeting to discuss the investment opportunities available in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the participation of Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Eng. Tariq Qabeel and a number of Egyptian and Saudi businessmen and members of the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce.
On the occasion, Minister Qabeel affirmed that the Saudi-Egyptian relations are witnessing their best times as a result of the distinguished relations between the two countries in all fields, indicating that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries in 2017 amounted to about 2.1 billion dollars.
"The volume of Saudi investments in Egypt exceeded US$ 6 billion and Egyptian investments in the Kingdom exceeded one billion dollars," he said, noting that Saudi investments account for about 11 percent of foreign investments in Egypt.
