(Feb. 1, 2018) The boys varsity basketball team maintained its perfect Cape & Islands League record with two road wins this week, coming back from a 12-point deficit to beat Saint John Paul II 66-62 on Friday, and beating Sturgis West 79-71 Saturday.
The Whalers (12-1, 11-0 C& I), who have won six straight games, are scheduled to play Cape Cod Academy away today, before hosting Rising Tide tomorrow and Sturgis West Tuesday, and traveling to Mashpee next Thursday.
“Cape Cod is good this year. We beat them at home earlier in the season but teams always seem to learn from a loss,” head coach Willis Ferreira said.
