PayPal Holdings Inc. (PYPL) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.55 after the close Wednesday, up from $0.42 in the previous year. Street expectations were for EPS of $0.52.
The company expects to report full year 2018 non-GAAP EPS of $2.24 to $2.30 and first quarter non-GAAP EPS of $0.52 to $0.54. Street expectations are for EPS of $2.25 and $0.54 respectively.
PayPal gapped open sharply lower Thursday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock closed down by 6.92 at $78.40 on the highest volume of the year. PayPal pulled back from the highs of the year and set a 3-week low.
