THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DGP Loknath Behera has said miscreants who have created panic by pasting stickers on houses will be caught soon and they will be made to undergo legal action. For pasting stickers on 401 houses, 24 cases have been registered.

“Most number of cases were noted in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Ernakulam. Police have not been able to arrest anyone in this connection. The reports that persons who kidnapped children were behind the act were fake. Even a teacher called up me to ask whether he should gibe holidays for schools,” he said.

Behera asked people not to spread messages that instilled scare in the minds of people. Police are keeping vigil across the State. “Stickers have been sent for forensic examination. The stickers stuck on different places doesn’t exhibit a specific pattern. The police will attempt to find out the miscreants with the help of CCTV visuals. Police will reach any place wherever stickers are seen,” he added.
