Jump-rope performers, colourful dancers and jazzed-up bicycles will be shaking things up at this year's Chingay Parade to be held on Feb 23 and 24 at 8pm.

The parade will start at the F1 Pit Building before passing the Singapore Flyer and Raffles Avenue. It will end at The Float @ Marina Bay.

At a media conference yesterday, the vice-chairman of the parade's executive committee, Mr Julian Aw, said the public can exchange high-fives and snap selfies with the performers as they parade along the free standing area behind the Singapore Flyer.

Tickets to the parade start at $28.50 each and are available from Sistic.

A free carnival, with more than 20 food stalls and trucks selling everything from sliders to ondeh-ondeh, will be held at the Singapore Flyer as part of the Chingay Parade for the first time.
