Raman hails Union Budget, calls it historic

Chief Minister Raman Singh on Thursday hailed the ‘Union Budget 2018-19’ while stating that it will provide an impetus to “Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikaas”.

The Budget focusses on the important priorities of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which will transform the lives of farmers and poor villagers, he said.Singh added that it is a revolutionary, historic Union Budget for the welfare of masses.

Singh congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for presenting such an admirable Budget on the floor of Parliament on Thursday.

In his immediate reaction to the Union Budget, the Chief Minister said that Budget consisted of several welfare schemes which will benefit Chhattisgarh.

Singh said that Union Budget mirrors the determination of Narendra Modi Government to double the incomes of farmers soon.

There are several projects in this direction in the Budget.

He said that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had laid stress on the agriculture sector.

The Chief Minister welcomed the provision of Rs 5 lakh per year per family and Rs 500 to patients with Tuberculosis under the Ayushman Bharat Health scheme and termed them as historic and far-reaching.

The Budget allocates Rs 56,000 to the S.C. Welfare Fund. The Ekalavya Schools will be upgraded on the pattern of Navodaya Schools. The announcements will certainly help Chhattisgarh. There is a ray of hope for the unemployed youth as the Budget announced creation of an additional 70 lakh jobs in this fiscal, he said
