Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen said her goodbyes Thursday as she prepared for Trump appointee Jerome Powell to take over at the central bank Monday.
Powell is set to be sworn in Monday morning, and Yellen has previously said that she would serve until that point, finishing out her four-year term. But she made the rounds, addressed Fed staff, and got a send-off Thursday, with some of the scenes shown on social media.
One of the photos showed Powell, currently serving as a member of the Fed's Board of Governors, addressing the staff with his collar popped — a tribute to Yellen's personal style.

Earlier in the day, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin thanked Yellen for her service and posted a photo of the two of them in his office at the Treasury.

The Senate voted 85-13 last week to confirm Powell as the 16th chairman of the Fed.
