VARANASI: A
murder accused committed suicide in
Azamgarh district jail by hanging himself in
jail premises on Thursday evening. He was jailed for allegedly killing his wife in July 2017.
According to reports, the prisoner Vinod Ram (30), resident of Siyaraha village in Bilariaganj police station in
Azamgarh district, was not found in his barrack during counting. Following a search he was found hanging in the gallery on the upper floor of the barrack. The matter was informed to police.

Subhash Chandra Gangwar said that Vinod was the accused of his wife's murder. He was sent to jail on July 25, 2017. He hanged himself with the help of his lungi. The reason behind it was not known, and the matter was being investigated.
