HUBBALLI: Burglars struck the Sri Venkataramana Temple, taking advantage of its closure due to lunar eclipse, and made away with the 'hundi' near Nrupatunga Betta here on Wednesday.

They locked the priest's house, situated close to the temple, before breaking into the temple, said police.

The box was found 300m away from the temple. The miscreants also made away with a CCTV camera and hard disk.
