Industry veteran Phil Liggett has been named park president of Six Flags St. Louis and Hurricane Harbor.
Liggett, who has more than 30 years experience in the theme park industry, most recently served as park president of Six Flags La Ronde in Montreal. He succeeds Pete Carmichael, who now serves as park president of Six Flags New England.
Liggett joined Six Flags in 2009 as the director of in-park services for Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Ill. He took on the role at Six Flags La Ronde in 2011. He has a degree in hospitality and tourism management from Ryerson University in Toronto.
