First Lutheran Church plans special night out dinner

First Lutheran Church is having a special night out dinner Feb. 10.

Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a cash non-alcoholic bar starting at 4:30 p.m. with dinner at 5:30 p.m. Choose from fettuccini alfredo with chicken breast or prime rib.

Dinner music will be provided by Almost Blue.

Tickets can be purchased from the church office or Melissa Richards during business hours or during coffee hour Sunday.

Tickets must be pre-purchased before Wednesday. There will be no ticket sales at the door.

Valentine's ham dinner set

PINE RIVER—United Methodist Church, 348 Barclay Ave., Pine River, will have a Valentine's ham dinner with serving beginning at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 10.

Cost is $9 for adults; children 6 and under are free.

XO Marriage Conference via simulcast set for Feb. 9-10

PINE RIVER—The XO Marriage Conference can be viewed via simulcast at Faith Assembly of God Church, 510 First St. N., Pine River, from 7-9:30 p.m. Feb. 9 and 9-11:30 a.m. Feb. 10.

Bonus sessions will be 9:30 a.m.-noon and 1:40-4 p.m. Feb. 9.

Fifth Sunday of Epiphany service

Pastor Jeff Macejkovic will lead the Fifth Sunday of Epiphany worship service at Bethel Lutheran Church, South Long Lake, beginning at 9 a.m. with the sacrament of Holy Communion.

Sunday school and coffee fellowship will follow at 10 a.m.

Monthly multi-denominational worship and prayer time

The monthly multi-denominational worship and prayer time will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Park United Methodist Church, 315 Sixth St. N., Brainerd.

The group will gather to worship and pray. Bring a Bible and a friend. Park in the west parking lot and use the west door entrance.

The group will pray for God's will to be done in His World, the United States of America, all the states, especially Minnesota, all the counties, especially the five county area around the Brainerd lakes and in our own personal lives.

The theme of the event will be using the verses in the Bible from 1 Timothy Chapter 2, Isaiah 58: 1 A, 2 Chronicles 7:14, 2 Peter 3:9, Matthew 28:18-20 and Philippians 2:10-11.

All-you-can-eat soup supper fundraiser set for Saturday

LITTLE FALLS—The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls will host an all-you-can-eat soup supper fundraiser from 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls.

Four varieties of homemade soups—chicken wild rice, beef barley vegetable, bean and ham and tomato tortellini; fresh baked cracked wheat and white breads, homemade bars and beverages will be served.

Ticket prices for adults are $9; children 5-12, $5; children under 5 years, free. Dinner tickets will be available at the door or by calling 320-632-2981.

Proceeds from the Soup Supper will benefit St. Francis Health & Wellness Center and St. Francis Music Center, Little Falls.

Sacred Heart Area School Carnival planned

STAPLES—Sacred Heart Area School, downtown Staples, will have its annual school carnival from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

A pancake and sausage breakfast with strawberries and ice cream will be served at the church from 9-11 a.m.

There will be a half-pot bingo, games, concessions, cake walk, prizes and more. A raffle drawing will be at 1 p.m. at the school.
