Friday, Feb. 2

Steamboat Friday Nights

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. | Steamboat Ski Resort, 2305 Mount Werner Circle

Friday Nights just got a whole lot brighter and even more fun. Enjoy an evening of excitement including night skiing, rides on the Outlaw Mountain Coaster, live music so you can boogie down in Gondola Square with a DJ dance party and a variety show to impress the whole family, featuring a magical rabbit and dove, knife juggling and more. The grand finale is at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks. Trivia at the Bear River will not be held.

Sphynx

10 p.m. | Schmiggity's, 821 Lincoln Ave.

Sphynx is an '80s space glam band from Austin, Texas. They are like Queen but with two Freddie Mercurys and Phil Collins. Wear you best '80s outfit and get in for free.

Broccoli Samurai

10 p.m. | Old Town Pub & Restaurant, 600 Lincoln Ave.

Coming from Cleveland, Ohio, this electro-rock group travels the country and melts rooms with its energetic funky dance party. From the festival circuit to the bar and club scene, this is a show not to miss.

Saturday, Feb. 3

The Bear Race — a Fatbike Adventure in Steamboat

7 a.m. | Saturday, Feb. 3 and Sunday, Feb. 4 | Hahn's Peak Roadhouse, 60880 Routt County Road 129, Clark

Registration is open for the inaugural endurance fat bike race, named The Bear, with options for a 50-mile (4,649 feet of elevation gain) and 105-mile (9,957 feet of elevation gain and crosses into Wyoming) course. Racing will begin at 7 a.m. at Hahn’s Peak Roadhouse across from Steamboat Lake.

Acting and Directing Workshops

1 to 5 p.m. | Depot Art Center, 1001 13th St.

Work on expanding your performing arts toolbox with The Great American Laughing Stock Company for two days of acting and directing workshops for ages 16 and older. Cost is $50 per day.

Buffalo Commons

9 p.m. | Hahn’s Peak Roadhouse, 60880 Routt County Road 129, Clark

It’s the group’s first show up in North Routt. "Been looking forward to this one for way too long," said Tyree Woods about the show. Call 970-879-4404 for a free shuttle that will pick up and drop off at the Space Station in Steamboat Springs to the Roadhouse.

The Main Squeeze with Sugarleaf

10 p.m. | Schmiggity's, 821 Lincoln Ave.

The Main Squeeze is a blend of soul and hip-hop, funk with rock that sprouted from the Midwest. Their sound is soulful, powerful and unique.

Sunday, Feb. 4

Super Bowl Sunday

Catch Super Bowl LII at a variety of Steamboat sports bars, which will be offering food and drink specials. (Some local sports bars include Slopeside Grill, Tap House Sports Bar & Grill, Carl's Tavern, Dude & Dan's.

According to the NFL homepage, Super Bowl coverage includes:

• Noon | "Kitten Bowl" showing on the Hallmark Channel.
• 1 p.m. | Super Bowl pregame show via ESPN and NFL Network on NBC
• 3 p.m. | Puppy Bowl 14, showing on Animal Planet
• 6:30 p.m. | Superbowl LII kickoff showing on NBC with Pink performing the national anthem and Justin Timberlake headlining the halftime show.

Ski Free Sundays

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Howelsen Hill, 845 Howelsen Pkwy.

Ski free every Sunday at historic Howelsen Hill. It's as easy as simply stopping into the lodge to pick up your free ticket, which is required to access the lifts and the Nordic trails on these special Ski Free Sundays.

Uncle Tuesday in the ‘Boat

10 p.m. | Old Town Pub, 600 Lincoln Ave.

After the game get your groove on with Uncle Tuesday as the seven-member band brings its rhythmic funky, soulful blues to Steamboat Springs for an OTP debut.
