The Milwaukee-based company said it had net income of $3.22 per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, were $2.12 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.05 per share.
The staffing company posted revenue of $5.64 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.55 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $545.4 million, or $8.04 per share. Revenue was reported as $21.03 billion.
Manpower shares have climbed roughly 5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 36 percent in the last 12 months.
