Postdoc Scholarship in Translational Cancer Stem Cell Biology, Lund University : Lund, Sweden

A Postdoctoral scholarship position is available at Lund Stem Cell Center at the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Lund University, Sweden, in the Stem Cell Regulation group under the main supervision of Dr. Mattias Magnusson.

The successful candidate will work in a cross-disciplinary research team to characterize lung cancer stem cells and to develop a platform for patient-specific therapies for lung cancer. This will include a variety of assays such as cell sorting (FACS), single cell genomics, pdx models, bioinformatics, small molecule and antibody screens, with all equipment and small molecule libraries at our disposal in Lund.

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled scientist with a strong background and proven track record in molecular and cellular biology. Qualified candidates should hold a PhD in biomedicine or related fields. Experience in normal and malignant epithelial biology is an advantage, as well excellent skills in flow cytometry, pdx models and small molecule screening. Excellent skills in written and spoken English are essential.

The applicant should have been awarded their PhD degree within three years of the application deadline and must not have been employed by Lund University within the last two years to be eligible for this position.
