ANOTHER Arsenal striker could be sold in the summer - Jamie Carragher makes HUGE claim

ARSENAL striker Alexandre Lacazette could be SOLD in the summer if he doesn’t fit in Arsene Wenger’s line-up.

That’s the verdict of Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher.

Lacazette arrived at the Emirates last summer for what was then a club record fee of £45m.

After a bright start to his Gunners career, the France international has scored just once in his last 10 Premier League games.

Now that Arsenal have brought in Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Carragher can’t see a future for Lacazette at the club beyond the summer.

“I cannot help thinking that with Aubameyang coming in, there’s no way him and Alexandre Lacazette can form a partnership,” he said on Sky Sports show The Debate.

“I just don’t see that at all. They both look like penalty box strikers.

“I could actually see Lacazette moving on in the summer”

“I think Aubameyang only scored one goal for Borussia Dortmund from outside the box.

“That’s not a problem but it shows that he’s a penalty box centre-forward exactly like Lacazette.

“So I could actually see Lacazette moving on in the summer.”

Arsenal have struggled in the Premier League recently, winning just one of their last five games.

Despite failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their last seven top-flight games, Wenger spent just £2.2m on young Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.

Olivier Giroud was sold to Chelsea to enable Aubameyang to leave Dortmund, as the German side took Michy Batshuayi on loan from the Blues.

The north London outfit also shipped out Theo Walcott to Everton for £20m as well as Alexis Sanchez to Man Utd.
