The accused, S Paramasivam (32) of East Tambaram and V Thothathri Nathan (45) of Chitlapakkam, were employees of Datatec Methodex Private Limited, the company that was assigned to conduct the test and prepare the merit list. 

The firm’s manager Raghupathy has already been arrested by the CCB sleuths. Raghupathy, his aide Suresh Paul and government school head master Chinnasamy were remanded on January 13 and taken into custody for three days for interrogation before being produced at Egmore Magistrate Court, on January 25. 

CCB sources said that Suresh Paul worked as middleman between Raghupathy and agents like Chinnasamy and Ganesan. Paramasivam and Nathan, along with Sheik Dawood Nasar, were part of the team which indulged in the malpractice while entering the marks of the short-listed candidates. Further arrests can be expected, said the source. 

TRB conducted the test for lecturer posts in September. The short-listed candidates included those who secured lower marks, alleged TRB member secretary in his complaint to the city police. The first arrest came on December 27, in which taxi driver B Ganesan (38), said to be one of the touts part of the network, was nabbed.
