Thursday’s high schools: South Hadley goes deep to beat Monson in double overtime

Friday, February 02, 2018

Calvin Bridges sent the South Hadley boys basketball team into the first overtime with a 3-pointer.

Hunter Carey then sent South Hadley into the second overtime with 3.

Sticking with what was working, Carey went deep early, and South Hadley pulled away from there.

Bridges buried a 3 from the corner fading out of bounds to beat the buzzer, tie the game at 69 and force overtime.

Trailing by three late, Carey went deep to tie the game, and the Tigers held Monson without a shot to force the second OT.
