The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Water Resources Ministry yesterday recommended buying more dredgers and continuing dredging works in the rivers across the country round the year.
The committee also suggested the ministry to take initiatives for increasing the water flows in the rivers, said a Parliament Secretariat handout.
The committee came up with the recommendations at its 33rd meeting held at Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with its Chairman Romesh Chandra Sen, MP, in the chair.
