President Trump, in his first State of the Union address, painted an optimistic vision for America through the rest of his first term, and extended an olive branch to congressional Democrats who have been opposed to his agenda since he took office.
While there were some partisan red meat issues that played well with Trump's base, there were several instances in which Democrats could stand and cheer for America's success. Here are the instances during Trump's speech where most, if not all, Democrats sat when everyone else stood and cheered.
