NATICK – A woman suffered minor injuries after her car crashed into a South Main Street home on Wednesday, officials said.
The woman, who was not identified, was taken to MetroWest Medical Center in Natick to be treated for injuries to her nose after the 11 a.m. crash, Deputy Fire Chief Edward Connelly said.
“The airbag deployed, so she got some minor injuries,” he said. “We took her to the hospital as a precaution. She had a bloody nose.”
The woman was driving on South Main Street when, for an unknown reason, she hit a curb and then drove onto the lawn and struck the house at 131 South Main St., Connelly said. He did not know if anyone was home at the time.
The exterior of the house “cracked a little bit,” but most of the damage was to the front stairs, the deputy chief said.
“The building inspector came out and looked at it and the building was OK,” Connelly said.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
