Early morning drug sweep nabs 18

In an early morning drug roundup Wednesday, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department moved to arrest 18 individuals throughout the county, nearly off of them for sale of methamphetamine.

According to Christy Thompson, public relations manager for the sheriff’s office, 16 of the individuals were behind bars as of 10 a.m. Thursday morning.

In custody for sale of meth were Brandi Stulsky, Justin McCalpin, Howard Lee Nabors, Daniel Page; Bobby Shiver; Kristen Russell; Angela Moran; Robert Baxley; Billie Byrd; and Michael Creek, with Amber Branch behind bars for sale of cocaine. Brandon Stevens was jailed on charges of criminal mischief, 14 counts of grand theft of firearms and burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.

Still being sought for selling meth were Stacey Francway. Westley Howard Ellerson is wanted for sale of meth - 14 grams or more, as well as on a Bay County warrant for marijuana possession less than 20 grams.

Sheriff AJ Smith accompanied the special investigations unit in the serving of the warrants. The Carrabelle and Apalachicola Police Departments joined sheriff’s deputies to assist in apprehending the individuals.
