SEJONG, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- South Korea plans to sell a combined 7.5 trillion won (US$6.99 billion) in state bonds this month, the finance ministry said Thursday.
The government will issue 1.65 trillion won in bonds, with a maturity of three years, and another 1.55 trillion won in five-year bonds in February, according to the Ministry of Strategy and Finance.
It also plans to sell 1.75 trillion won in 10-year Treasurys and a combined 2.55 trillion won of bonds with a maturity of 20 or 30 years.
The government plans to sell 106.4 trillion won worth of Treasurys in 2018, up 2.7 trillion won from last year's estimated 103 trillion won.
In 2016, the government sold a total of 100.8 trillion won worth of state bonds, according to the finance ministry.
