ROCHESTER -- Sharpshooting at the free throw line helped the Minnesota West men's basketball team to an 80-77 victory over Rochester Wednesday night.
The Bluejays made 29 of 35 free throws in the game, compared to Rochester's eight of 15.
West scored 52 points in the second half after trailing 30-28 at intermission.
Kuol Chol scored 13 points with 14 rebounds and four assists for Minnesota West. DeShawn Pickford had 15 points and five steals. Alex Brown scored 19 points with five assists and four steals. And Alex Preston scored 16 points.
The Bluejays came up with 11 steals in the contest.
Tevin Killeen, one of five Rochester players in double figures, scored 17 points.
