A man wanted for shooting three people in central Ohio has been brought into custody in South Dakota.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Herbert Allen was arrested Thursday morning at an address on South High Street. He was wanted for allegedly shooting three people in Columbus, Ohio back in February 2014.
Allen is also accused of tampering with evidence by taking the shell casings from the scene. He is currently in custody at Brown County Jail to await extradition back to Ohio.
Federal authorities credited local and state officers with helping arrest Allen. The U.S. Marshals Service Pierre Area Joint Fugitive Task Force was assisted by members of the Aberdeen Police Department Special Response Team and Tundra Task Force.
