Men's Gymnastics: Grove City's Lewis wins floor as Cardinal soars

Grove City High School graduate Connor Lewis turned in a strong effort in helping the Stanford University men’s gymnastics team win the Stanford Open on Jan. 27.

Lewis, a sophomore, won the floor exercise in the 26th annual event with a career-best 14.55. It was Lewis’ first collegiate event title.

The Cardinal finished first overall with a 414.1 points, the highest score in the nation this season. California (395.05) and Washington (368.3) followed in the three-team meet.

Lewis is a 2016 graduate of Grove City.
