Kate and William forced to CANCEL Sweden Royal tour visit

JUST hours after Royal fans erupted over Kate’s “grandma’s curtains” multicoloured dress, the Duchess of Cambridge has been hit by another wave of bad luck.

Kate and Prince William, who are on a four-day Royal Scandinavian tour, have been forced to cancel the final visit of their trip in Sweden.

The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge and Wills were due to visit Sweden’s armed forces at an airbase in Uppsala today before heading to Norway.

But they appear to have brought Britain’s typically bad weather with them, as heavy snow in the Nordic country left them no choice but to cancel the visit.

The bad luck comes after Kate’s mustard-coloured gown, which she wore for an evening meal with the Swedish Royals, sparked Twitter outrage with fans labelling her choice of dress “fashion disaster”.

AXED: Snow forced Kate and Wills to cancel the last visit of their Swedish tour

Kensington Palace tweeted about the trip cancellation: "Unfortunately the snowy weather in Stockholm today has meant that TRH’s travel plans have had to be changed. This morning’s engagement at Uppsala Airbase will not go ahead."

The snow meant the pair had to fly to Norway from Arlanda Airport in Stockholm instead.

In the city they received a briefing on Sweden’s defence capabilities – an event that was planned for their Uppsala visit.

The Duke and Duchess then left for Oslo, which was also covered in snow, where they were met on the tarmac by Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marittour.

They then met King Harald V of Norway and his wife Queen Sonja for lunch at the royal palace where William and Kate are staying as guests.

Other members of Norway's royal family were expected to attend the gathering including Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.

Kate and Wills have spent the last two days in Stockholm where they have spent time with the Swedish royal family, including Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.
