The other day, a childhood friend texted. “If the girl is on her periods, is it okay to have sex with her?” My response was, “Ask”.

Later, when we chatted at length over it, I explained to him that

for a lot of women—period sex can be great but often the men act like it’s a gross thing to do.

Well.

There’s some good news. The (in)famous porn website PornHub is coming to the rescue.

The porn video website is offering women free premium membership once a month for five days, or more specifically when they’re on their period.

The campaign is called ‘F*ck your period’ and we are totally loving it. The site describes the campaign as "an educational campaign championing various benefits of orgasming during the menstrual cycle”.

Women all over the world are often deprived of an orgasm during the five day period, thanks to a lot of conditioning. However, this is probably the exact time when they desperately need some pleasure. In fact, doctors say that the oxytocin and dopamine released when you orgasm can ease cramps and uterine pain. And, that can be a lot, lot helpful.

PornHub is hoping to help women dismiss the stigma that’s chained with sex when they’re red. And we couldn’t be happier about it.
