"My comments on my personal Instagram about Kennedy’s response were inappropriate and I take full responsibility for that. I got too upset. I sincerely apologize," Lahren tweeted Wednesday night.

Lahren's apology came after she attacked Kennedy on her public accounts during his State of the Union response. As Kennedy spoke, Lahren posted two stories to her Instagram mocking the lawmaker. She called him a "nasty little ginger" in the first story and "that little limp dick" in the second story.

The second video appears to have since been deleted.

On Tuesday Lahren also tweeted remarking that Kennedy resembled transgender activist and athlete Caitlyn Jenner.

"Is it just me or does Joe Kennedy III look a helluva lot like pre-Caitlyn Bruce Jenner?" she wrote on Twitter

On Wednesday, Lahren continued her comments about Kennedy, posting and then quickly deleting an Instagram story post again comparing Kennedy to Jenner.

"I'm not wrong," she wrote on Instagram with a photo of the two side-by-side.

It was not immediately clear Wednesday night which of the posts Lahren was apologizing for.

Lahren joined Fox News last year after it was reported that she was "banned permanently" from The Blaze after alienating staff at the right-leaning website.

Earlier in January, Lahren attacked left-leaning media figures in a segment on Fox News' "Hannity," where she accused liberals of wanting President Trump "to die."

“They want him to fail and they him to be ill and they want him to die. Let’s be honest, that’s exactly what they want,” Lahren said. “They’re so frustrated that he is winning for the American people.”
