Police say Mitchell man slipped on ice, died

Authorities say an 80-year-old Mitchell man slipped on ice, hit his head and died earlier this week.

Bernard "Bernie" Tegethoff was found by officers at 1:52 p.m. Monday at a property he owned on the 1500 block of West Third Avenue in Mitchell. Officials with the Mitchell Police Division called it an accidental death. The fall didn't result in an immediate death.
