Veterans Honored In Wounded Warrior Football Game

Kelli Volk reports:
Lots of people came out Wednesday night to watch a game of honor: A game between the Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team and NFL Alumni.

Sanford brought several veterans here to watch the game, including 25 from the Sioux Falls area.

"It's just really nice to be able to honor our heroes," military veteran Brian Mehnert said.

Minnesota Vikings player and Augustana University graduate C.J. Hamm was also on hand to watch the event.

"(These are) some of the strongest people in the world today. They've sacrificed so much; they've given so much to their families and us," Hamm said.
