In December Rylan shocked fans when he announced that he was stepping down as showbiz presenter after years of working on the popular ITV programme.
The TV personality, who rose to fame on The X Factor back in 2012, spoke out after reports speculated over his decision to quit the show.
“Some news outlets have said I’m having a baby, getting divorced and terminally ill,” Rylan said.
“I’m really missing being there but I just need time to myself. People think there’s an ulterior motive and there’s not. I just needed a break for my head, for my body, for my peace of mind."

I don’t get a holiday, I’m self-employed. That’s a really big risk for anyone in telly.
The 29-year-old went on to admit that having such a lucrative role was a “big risk”, saying: “I don’t get a holiday, I’m self-employed. That’s a really big risk for anyone in telly.”
Rylan also explained that there is more to his role than meets the eye, noting that he would be up at 5am and not return home until after midnight.
Admitting that he needed time to clear his head, he told The Sun: “For my head, I just need to take a little break.”
The presenter then went on to discuss his hopes of starting a family with his husband, former Big Brother star Dan Clark-Neal.

“We’re absolutely fine but I just want to enjoy my personal life. I’d love to have kids but I just think it’s when the time’s right.”
Last year, Rylan was heavily criticised over his reason for taking a break from This Morning and hit back at trolls who slammed his decision.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “Think about the words you use on here… they can have a serious impact on the person you’re aiming them at.
“To you, it's just an insult. To the person its aimed at it could break them.”

At the time, the TV star was also forced to shut down rumours that he had been fired from This Morning.
He wrote online: “One last time. I’m having a little break from @thismorning I’m very lucky to be working a lot and I appreciate it.
“Everyone works hard in all industries, I’m just taking a break that’s all. I’ve not been sacked, not pregnant, just having a little time off. See you on @bbuk x.”
However, Rylan was blasted on social media, with one person writing: “Try working 20 years for the NHS, we could all do with a break.”
