Stars in awe of super blue blood moon: Richard Gutierrez, Anne Curtis, Judy Ann Santos share stunning shots, special moments

/ 01:03 PM February 01, 2018

Like all other people around the world, celebrities were stunned by the super blue blood moon that hasn’t appeared in night skies since 1866.

The phenomenon occurs when the blue moon, super moon and blood moon coincide with one another, with the eclipse starting at 6:49 p.m. and the super blue blood moon at 9:29 p.m. according to PAGASA.

Celebrities like Anne Curtis, Richard Gutierrez and Bela Padilla captured the crimson moon using a mix of gadgets, from iPhones to professional cameras, and even telescopes.

“La Luna Sangre” star Richard Gutierrez took a picture of the moon like a pro just as it was transitioning to its blood-red form, with a DSLR and magnifying lens.

Bela Padilla was resourceful and got her shot “with an iPhone through a telescope.”

Super Blue Blood Moon Tonight I let you cast your shadow over me, and I dont mind the slightest. I’ll gladly give up my shine again and again for you to see your likeness. Because I can never compare to your blue and green and occasional light brown, that gives life to the most beautiful smiles and painful tears and frowns. So on this night that’s supposedly mine, I’ll let you cover my light. As I bleed and dread the return of my glory, Ill pull you in like the waves and hug you tighter than tight. ~bela (shot with an iPhone through a telescope! Thanks, Renan!)
