PREP ROUNDUP: Royal Oak, WOLL add another win in girls hoops

GIRLS BASKETBALL

ROYAL OAK 50, SEAHOLM 31

The Royal Oak girls basketball team improved to 11-2 on the season and 7-1 in the OAA White with a 50-31 win over Seaholm on Wednesday. Samantha Potter had 17 points and five assists to lead the Ravens while Jessica Adams had 12 points with eight rebounds. Seaholm was led by Audrey Anton, who had 13 points.

WATERFORD OUR LADY 57, GREENHILLS 27

The Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes girls basketball team improved to 12-3 on the season thanks to a 57-27 win over Ann Arbor Greenhills on Wednesday. Kayla Sanders had 18 points to lead the Lakers while Tiffany Senerius added 15 and Isabelle Kline had 11.

SOUTH LAKE 55, LAMPHERE 44

The Lamphere girls basketball team suffered a 55-44 loss to South Lake on Wednesday night. Nadia Shumate led the Rams with 16 points and 13 rebounds while Destiny Carr had 11 points.

OXFORD 49, ALMONT 29

The Oxford girls basketball team picked up a 49-29 win at Almont on Tuesday night. HaLaya Cato had 13 points to lead the Wildcats while Mackie Methner added 12 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

ADAMS 58, OXFORD 38

The Rochester Adams boys basketball team defeated Oxford on Tuesday night, 58-38. Austin Ursuy had 18 points to lead Adams while Jake Schuler had 11 for the Highlanders (8-4).

LAKELAND 44, WALLED LAKE CENTRAL 36

The Lakeland boys basketball team earned a 44-36 win over Walled Lake Central on Tuesday night behind 16 points and five assists from Joe Rzeppa. Cass Phillips added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles.

WRESTLING

HOLLY WINS A PAIR

The Holly wrestling team finished off an unbeaten Flint Metro League season on Wednesday with a 54-15 win over Linden and a 37-21 win over Fenton. Nate Young, Jared Callahan, Wyatt Scribner, Carsen Cuthbert, Cade Dallwitz, Collin Dallwitz, and Blake Querio each went 2-0 for the Bronchos on the day.

HOCKEY

MILFORD 5, FRANKLIN 4 OT

The Milford hockey team picked up a 5-4 win over Livonia Franklin on Wednesday despite falling behind 3-0. Brent Anderson had two goals to lead the Mavericks in the win while Tyler Conklin had the game-winning goal in OT. Mitchell Balaka added three assists in the victory.

SALEM 141.7, HURON VALLEY UNITED 139.9

Huron Valley United lost to Salem on Wednesday night by a score of 141.7-139.9. Top vault scores for HVU were Nicole Graham (8.9), Erin Murphy (8.85) and Lauren Graham (8.75). Nicole Graham had top bars score with 8.75. Top beam score was Murphy with 9.4 and Nicole Graham with 9.25. Top floor was Nicole Graham with 9.25 and Lauren Graham with 8.95.
