Margaret Carol McCray, 83, of Hutchinson, entered her heavenly home January 29, 2018, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, Kansas. The daughter of William and Harriett Starks, she was born January 29, 1935, in Denver, Colorado. She was a retired library clerk for the Hutchinson Library.

Margaret Carol McCray, 83, of Hutchinson, entered her heavenly home January 29, 2018, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, Kansas. The daughter of William and Harriett Starks, she was born January 29, 1935, in Denver, Colorado. She was a retired library clerk for the Hutchinson Library.
A dedicated humanitarian, she helped any and everyone that she came in contact with. There was never a person that 'Aunt' Carol wouldn't help. Her family's well being and taking care of them was the most important thing to Carol.
She is survived by: two sons, Pastor Ernest (Emma) McCray of Phoenix, Arizona, Ronald (Lydia) McCray of Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Carolyn McCray of Hutchinson, Kansas; one sister, Gail (Richard) Gray of Hutchinson, Kansas; two brothers, Larry (Carlota) Catlett of Newton, Kansas, and Billy (Sherry) Starks of Rocky Ford, Colorado. Carol was blessed with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Imogene.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at New Resurrection Church, 500 West Avenue A, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Reno County Soup Kitchen. Per Carol's request cremation has taken place.
