O2 Slovakia has extended its LTE network to 92.3 percent of the population. In the past four months, the operator has added 261 municipalities and the number of municipalities covered now exceeds 2,000. At the same time, it has continued covering highways and express roads.

Forty-six percent of smartphones on the O2 network support LTE. However, there are still 13 percent of users of a smartphone supporting LTE but using an old-type SIM card, not supporting LTE. The operator exchanges old SIM cards free of charge.

The operator declares its objective of keeping its leadership in 4G coverage. Over the past two years, O2 has invested EUR 80 million in the network infrastructure. The plan for this year is to launch LTE+. The current speed maximum is 73/23 Mbps. Data is the fastest growing revenue segment - up by 27 percent year-on-year.
