The Star Wars actor, 46, thanked both his estranged wife Eve Mavrakis, 51, and the woman he is now with, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 33, as he picked up the gong for Best Actor In A Mini Series for his role in Fargo.
Ewan plays both challenging lead roles of feuding brothers Ray and Emmit Stussy.
"I want to take a moment to say thank you to Eve… who always stood by me for 22 years,” he gushed to the packed room at The Beverly Hilton in LA.
Thanking his co-stars, he added: "I've always loved being an actor.

"There wouldn’t have been any Emmit Stussy without David Thewlis [V.M. Varga] and Michael Stuhlbarg [Sy Feltz] and Carrie Coon [Gloria Burgle].
"And there would’ve been no Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead.”
Ewan first met Esther’s mother on the set of British TV series Kavanagh QC when he first starred in the episode Nothing But The Truth.
They married in the summer of 1995, just months before Ewan hit the big time with his role as heroin addict Mark Renton in cult classic Trainspotting.
Seven months later they welcomed their first daughter Clara McGregor.

Ewan and Eve split on May 28 2017, with Ewan citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ in divorce documents.
However, trying to keep the split as private has possible, he did not publicly announce the news.
Five months later Ewan was snapped kissing Mary at a London cafe prompting mass speculation on social media.
While Ewan also took the time to thank his four daughters, Clara, Esther, Jamyan and Anouk in his Golden Globes speech, the shout-out could have been meant as a piece offering.

Daily Star Online can reveal how 16-year-old Esther has been publicly supporting fans who have turned against her dad.
In fact, she’s even replied to one of her followers who branded him a ‘pathetic man who is hated by Scotland’ for leaving Eve.
Having been born in Perth and raised in Crieff, Ewan is, or certainly was, somewhat of a Scottish homegrown hero.
In October 2017, Esther shared a snap of her posing with her guitar on her Instagram page.

Simply captioned: “Lazy Sundays” the shot picked up hundreds of likes.
Meanwhile, in the comment section fans raged about Ewan’s decision to leave Esther mum.
One particular fan wrote: “Your father is hated by Scotland now. Pathetic cheating man for going with a new woman so quick after your mum.
“His new woman looks cheap as. Hope your mum finds someone better.”

The word cheating refers to unconfirmed reports that Eve was ‘convinced Ewan was cheating on her with Mary’ during filming of Fargo.
A source told The Sun: “Eve is sure Ewan and Mary were together before he confessed his feelings for her. It is hard for her to believe him.
“This situation is extremely difficult for her and their four children.”
Seeing the post, Esther quickly replied: “I love you,” to the fan.

Shocked at getting a response, the follower continued: “Are you being sarcastic or do you agree he has let you and your family down?”
“No sarcasm, at all,” Esther responded.
Awkwardly, before the honest exchange Ewan also commented on the snap praising his daughter.
“Brilliant picture,” he simply wrote from his verified account followed by three kisses.
Esther chose not to reply to her father publicly, nor did she ‘like’ the comment – despite 20 of Ewan’s fans hitting the red heart button.

Eve broke her silence on the split on January 21 this year.
“It’s disappointing and upsetting but my main concern is our four children are OK,” she told The Sun On Sunday in a brief statement.
Ewan is said to want joint custody of their three minor children, Esther, 16, Jamyan, 16, and Anouk, 6.
Meanwhile, Eve has filed for sole physical custody with visitation rights going to Ewan.
