The Bellingham Festival of Music presents the Intersection Trio, violinist Laura Frautschi, cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper and pianist John Novacek, for its annual winter recital at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in Western Washington University’s Performing Arts Center, 516 High St., Bellingham.

A screening of “Groundhog Day,” starring Bill Murray as a jaded local weatherman forced to relive Groundhog Day over and over again, is presented by The South Fork Valley Community Association at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Van Zandt Community Hall, 4106 State Rt. 9, Valley Hwy., Deming. Featuring a 120-inch Screen, Surround Sound, and Free Popcorn. Suggested donation is $5 per person or $10 for families.
